About
me
Creative coaching has
evolved from various activities I have undertaken throughout my life,
including sewing, knitting, crocheting, glass painting, cooking, gardening,
drawing, painting, writing and playing the piano.
I
have been passionate about personal development since reading Scott Peck’s ‘The
Road Less Travelled’ when I was about 10 years old. I qualified in advice and
guidance initially, but found there were a greater number of
‘ah-ha’ moments using coaching methods and completed a diploma in life coaching
through the Coaching Academy in September
2005.
I
have experience of working with people from a variety of backgrounds, from
senior managers, to those who are excluded from society for various
reasons. I am also a registered
‘Train the Trainer’ tutor (CIEH), and qualified to assess NVQs in coaching as an Associate Assessor
with the Coaching Academy.
Reflecting
is vital to me, making sure I am able to learn from each experience in order to
improve my practice. I also receive regular supervision from
another qualified life coach, to ensure the consistent quality and ongoing
improvement of my sessions.
I have been able
to achieve the following by having my own coach:
★
Career
progression in line with my values
★
Stopped
smoking
★
Lost three
stone in weight
★
Ran three half
marathons (having previously believed it was completely
impossible!)
★
Ran the London Marathon in
2005 – a lifelong dream
★
Volunteered in
India
as part of a four month journey
